NKDB is pleased to share that, through the generous support of helpalliance, we have been able to expand our psycho-social assistance to North Korean human rights victims as they build new lives and futures.
On June 1, we had the opportunity to visit the Korea office of Lufthansa and meet Lufthansa staff and help alliance community members for a meaningful discussion on the role that businesses can play in advancing human rights and supporting vulnerable communities. help alliance members were able to hear directly from a North Korean escapee, whose personal experiences highlighted both the challenges faced by many survivors and the importance of sustained support.
Partnerships between civil society, businesses, and philanthropic organizations are essential to ensuring that human rights are not only advocated for, but translated into tangible support for those most affected by violations.
