The Database Center for North Korean Human Rights (NKDB), in collaboration with the Institute for Korean Studies at the University of Central Lancashire (IKSU) and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is holding a special exhibition titled the “Echo Never Stops”, centered on revealing what daily life looks like under North Korea’s strict control.

In a time of global connectivity, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what it means to live in silence. It sheds light on the harsh restrictions on communication with the outside world and on freedom of expression in North Korea and amplifies the voices of those who live within this reality.

Through a variety of exhibits, visitors can explore the perspective of North Korean escapees, their yearning for freedom of expression and traces of foreign information that entered the country.

“The Echo Never Stops” offers a renewed perspective on North Korean Human Rights and aims to serve as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen international solidarity, particularly among younger generations, in the ongoing effort to improve human rights in the country.

We invite all those interested in North Korean human rights to visit the exhibition and engage with the stories it presents.

This exhibition has been made possible with the generous support of the Institute for Korean Studies at UCLan (IKSU), to whom we extend our sincere thanks.
