NKDB held its 11th “Monthly Briefing and Discussion on North Korean Human Rights” on April 29, 2014.

Under the topic of “Human Rights and Life in the Political Prison Camps,” Shin Donghyuk, the only person known to have successfully escaped from a “total-control zone” political prison camp, spoke about his experience and the dire reality of political prison camps in North Korea.
