NKDB hosted a special lecture for students from the University of Texas at the IES Abroad Seoul Center
On May 29, Hanna Song, Executive Director of NKDB, hosted a special lecture for students from the Clements Center for National Security at The University of Texas at Austin. The event was held at the IES Abroad Seoul Center as part of the group’s academic program in South Korea.
During the session, Hanna Song shared NKDB’s ongoing efforts to document and analyze human rights violations in North Korea. She offered students valuable insight into the challenges of conducting research on one of the world’s most closed societies. The lecture also shed light on the experiences of North Korean escapees and the importance of preserving their testimonies.
