We were honored to welcome Mr. Alexandar Radwan, Member of the German Bundestag, to our exhibition during his short but impactful visit to South Korea. His commitment to human rights was evident as he took time out of his busy schedule to engage in a heartfelt conversation with Ms. Son, a North Korean escapee.

Ms. Son shared her deeply personal testimony about the traumatic experiences of forced repatriation faced by North Koreans in China — and the painful realities that many escapees continue to endure even after resettling in South Korea. From social stigma and economic hardship to the psychological toll of separation from family, her story reflects the long and difficult road many North Korean escapees must walk.

Mr. Radwan’s visit was a reminder that international solidarity matters. Hearing and amplifying these stories is not only an act of empathy, but a step toward accountability and change.

The echoes of these voices must never be silenced. And with continued support from global leaders and citizens alike, they never will. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
