NKDB is thrilled to announce that we've been awarded another grant from the UNVFVT (The United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture) in 2024 to continue our mission of providing psycho-social support to North Korean escapees.

At NKDB, we understand that the journey for North Koreans doesn't end once they arrive in South Korea. Many face significant psychological challenges after escaping the oppressive regime. That's why our psychological counseling services play a crucial role in helping them heal and thrive in their new environment. Alongside counseling, NKDB also provides vital support such as covering medical bills and offering cultural experiences to those who have been victims of torture.

Thank you to the UNVFVT for recognizing the importance of our work, and for supporting us in making a difference in the lives of North Korean escapees. Together, we're helping to build brighter futures and empower those who have bravely escaped unimaginable circumstances.
