NKDB is thrilled and deeply honored to announce that, through the support of Council for the Promotion of Francophonie in Korea scholarships have been granted to bolster the education of two North Korean escapees now resettled in South Korea.
Our recent research on the social and economic integration of North Korean escapees in South Korea revealed that 58% of North Korean escapees do not receive any additional education after resettling in the country. This scholarship symbolizes a chance to turn dreams into reality and make a meaningful impact on these children's lives.
NKDB is profoundly grateful to the La Francophonie Council for their actionable support in advancing North Korean human rights and helping these young individuals achieve their educational goals.
