From January 14 to 17, 2025, NKDB’s Social Integration Education Center successfully hosted the 2025 Dream Plus Forum, a four-day educational program aimed at empowering youth to reflect on peace, human rights and the future of the Korean Peninsula. Held in Seoul and Paju, the forum brought together 20 participants aged 16 to 24 from across South Korea, including youth of South Korean, North Korean and global backgrounds.

Over the course of the program, participants engaged in lectures, workshops, and discussions covering topics such as transitional justice and North Korean human rights. A highlight of the forum included a field trip to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), offering students a firsthand look at the ongoing division of the peninsula.

More than just an educational experience, the forum created a space where participants could share their stories, build new friendships, and imagine a more inclusive future together. Many described the experience as eye-opening and meaningful, since they could engage directly in issues that are often perceived as distant or abstract.

The Dream Plus Forum was made possible with the generous support of the KPX Cultural Foundation, and reaffirmed NKDB’s commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders working toward reconciliation, justice, and a united Korean Peninsula.
