On May 27th, NKDB held its 57th monthly briefing at the NKDB Education Center for Korean Integration. This month, three North Korean defectors were invited to share their stories of escape from North Korea through three different methods; one over land through China, one by sea into South Korea, and one over the DMZ directly into South Korea. Through their stories, those in attendance were able to learn more about the different routes of defection from North Korea, the dangers each defector faced through their method, as well as the motives behind their decision to leave North Korea.
