On September 27th, NKDB received notification of approval as a member organization in the Unification Education Council.
Since 2011, NKDB has run the North Korean Human Rights Academy as a means to inform South Korean society of the North Korean human rights situation, and in 2016 culminated in the establishment of the Education Center for Korean Integration. Following the appointment of its 2nd Director, the NKDB Education Center for Korean Integration now regular conducts 10 Academies per year, and has served over 2,000 participants as an educational institution.
Through membership in the Unification Education Council, NKDB has greater access to a new network, and with the public's trust, is expected to provide North Korean human rights and unification education to South Korean society. We wish to express our gratitude to the Unification Education Council for approving NKDB as a member, as well as to all supporters, lecturers, and participants that have been with us through the establishment, operation, and growth of the Education Center for Korean Integration.
