Requirements:
- Ideal candidates will have a law degree and a master's degree or higher
- Bilingual in both Korean and English
- Strong understanding of UN human rights mechanisms,
- Excellent understanding of judicial and non-judicial accountability mechanisms
Desirable competencies and experiences
- Advanced knowledge of North Korean human rights, history, society or politics
2. International Cooperation Officer
If you are an adept collaborator with a talent for fostering partnerships on a global scale, we invite you to apply for the position of International Cooperation Officer at NKDB. This role plays a crucial part in developing and nurturing international cooperation and support for our mission, as well as conducting research on North Korean human rights issues.
Requirements:
- A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (law, international relations, human rights, political sciences, humanitarian studies, or other social sciences) with at least 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in an international human rights organization or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of professional experience in an international setting
- Practical experience in grant proposal writing, budget design and donor compliance requirements
- Bilingual in both Korean and English
- Strong understanding of UN human rights mechanisms and advocacy strategies
Desirable competencies and experiences
- Advanced knowledge in the international human rights system and/or North Korean human rights, history, society or politics
- Experience in the planning and organization of events such as briefings, conferences and press conferences
- Experience in academic writing
- Experience in financial management of projects
3. Administrative Officer
For those who excel in organizational skills and have an eye for detail, the role of Administrative Officer is open for your application. This position is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of our organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and administrative roles.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management and project budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with donors and project teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
1) Salary: The annual salary will be determined based on internal regulations.
- Overtime pay will be provided according to internal regulations.
- Benefits include the coverage of the four major insurances and a retirement pension plan.
2) After one year of working as a contract employee, regular employment is possible based on a performance evaluation after a 3-month probationary period
3) Working Conditions: The position requires a 5-day workweek (Monday to Friday).
