About NKDB
Established in 2003, the Database Center for North Korean Human Rights (NKDB) focuses its efforts towards the development of North Korean human rights as well as the prevention of further abuse and the settlement of past human rights violations.
The center's main responsibilities include investigating cases of human rights violations against North Koreans, consolidating such cases into a database (i.e. operating the North Korean Human Rights Archive – motivated from Salzgitter Registry before the unification of Germany), developing prevention strategies for the North Korean human rights violations, and providing resettlement support for the victims.
Now we are looking for someone talented, passionate, and ambitious in order to create the future of North Korean human rights with NKDB.

Job Description
1. Promoting cooperation with international NGOs, governments, and organizations on activities such as international forums, conferences, etc.
2. Research/Data analysis of publications and personal testimonies regarding abuse of North Korean human rights
Job Requirements
1. High English Proficiency in Speaking and Writing
(experienced living /studying outside Korea preferred)
2. Master’s Degree or Above Preferred
3. Willingness and Ability to Travel Internationally
Work Details
1. Salary: According to the organization’s regulations (fixed probation period included)
2. Insurance (health, worker’s compensation, unemployment, pension) and Retirement Plan
3. Work week: Five days, Monday-Friday
Guidelines for Applicants

○ Presentation of Papers:
1) Resume (one copy each in Korean and English)
- Foreign Language Official Score Required (Score within the last two years)
2) Cover Letter (one copy each in Korean and English)
3) In the case of having an academic dissertation and research results, one copy of the research results summary
4) One copy of the Certificate of Degree and Transcript
5) Letters of Recommendation (if applicable) and Document of Official Foreign Language test grades needed
