On September 16, 2014 The Database Center for North Korean Human Rights (NKDB) and the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation will host a joint conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. The conference will take place at the Foreign Press Center Building, from 1pm to 6pm.
NKDB is looking for volunteer translators to assist with the preparation of the conference. Volunteers should be able to translate academic text from German into Korean (preferred) or English. This is a great opportunity for those interested in transitional justice in Germany or the work of either NKDB or the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation.
Conference Theme: “Transitional Justice and Social Integration in Unified Germany and their Implications for the Korean Peninsula”
Volunteering Period: August 16 - September 8, 2014
Level of German Proficiency: High (Volunteers must be able to translate academic texts from German to Korean or German to English)
If you are interested in assisting NKDB, please send us an email at nkdbi@hanmail.net. Please include your name, educational background, occupation or organization (if any), and period of availability. Your support is highly appreciated!
