The Database Center for North Korean Human Rights (NKDB) was established in 2003 for the sake of improving North Korean Human Rights, and in 2007 established the North Korean Human Rights Archive which has been collecting, analyzing, and preserving the cases of human rights violations.

Since the establishment of the COI (Commission of Inquiry) on crimes against humanity in North Korea at the 22nd UNHRC (the United Nations Human Rights Council), the interest and desire for information on North Korean human rights has increased internationally. As such, NKDB decided to hold a ‘monthly briefing and discussion of North Korean human rights’ to actively supply information and data on the status of human rights in North Korea.

We would also like to contribute informational assistance with the most recent, objective, and verified English documents via the discussions with experts in this field.

It is our hope that participants will leave this meeting with a better understanding and well-informed.
