On July 22, NKDB and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) made a joint submission to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The submission calls on the North Korean authorities to respond to the evidence gathered regarding lack of compensation for those who have become disabled due to work or military service, as well as explain the ways in which they have taken steps to comply with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities since they submitted their initial report in December 2018.
