On July 10, 2024, The Korea Times posted an article on the week of events leading up to the first North Korean Defectors’ Day (July 14). To commemorate this occasion, a variety of events are scheduled to take place from Monday to Sunday under the theme “Beyond freedom to hope, together as one.” Among the highlights is the first forum organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on North Korean human rights. Set for Thursday, the forum will feature domestic and international experts on the issue, including Dr. Yoon Yeo-sang from NKDB. Furthermore, Seoul Citizens Hall showcases an exhibition about the reality of human rights in North Korea, making it available until Saturday. Included in this exhibition were screens displaying NKDB’s Larchiveum, a digital platform on various topics within North Korean human rights.
