[Human Rights Watch] North Korea’s Window on the World Is at Risk of Closing

The U.S. Congress did not renew the North Korean Human Rights Act in 2022, but continued to fund its programs through the Bureau of Democracy, Rights, and Labor (DRL). As the Trump administration aims to cut DRL funding worldwide, this would impact the operations of North Korean human rights research organizations. The article pointed to several information dissemination and research organizations, including NKDB, which holds a currently-active DRL grant.
