[The Korea Herald] ‘I couldn’t sleep,’ defector says of images of North Koreans resisting deportation

On July 15th, NKDB's Chief Director, Yeosang Yoon, was quoted in an article regarding the forced repatriation of two North Korean fishermen in 2019, and the peculiarities surrounding the circumstances of the decision making.

“Since opening in 2003, our database has documented more than 79,000 cases of human rights violations involving North Korea. This is the first case in which the South Korean goverment [sic] is the potential violator,” he said.
